14th Free Health Camp held by Gurdwara Shri Hemkund Sahib Trust

Rishikesh, 11 Jan: On the occasion of the Prakash Parv of Guru Gobind Singh, the 14th Free Health Camp organised by the Gurdwara Shri Hemkund Sahib Trust was successfully held today at the Gurdwara Shri Hemkund Sahib complex, Lakshman Jhula Marg, Rishikesh.

The Chairperson of Ganga Prem Hospice, Nani Maa, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. She met all the doctors and honoured them. Sardar Narendra Jeet Singh Bindra, President of the Gurdwara Trust, along with the chief guest, warmly welcomed and expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the participants.

Bindra reminded that this was the Trust’s 14th health camp, in which specialist doctors in various fields including cardiology, ophthalmology, ENT, neurology, gastroenterology, orthopaedics, dentistry, gynaecology, paediatrics, pulse diagnosis, and dermatology provided their medical services. The Trust distributed free medicines. On the advice of the doctors, tests such as ECG, X-ray, ultrasound, and CT scan were also conducted completely free of cost by the Trust. More than 1,950 needy individuals were registered by the Trust for the camp. Willing participants donated blood and earned merit, with more than 45 units of blood collected in the blood donation camp.

The Gurdwara Shri Hemkund Sahib Trust is continuously engaged in selfless community service. The Trust also provides daily langar service at AIIMS Rishikesh, where free meals are offered to patients, their attendants, and all visitors to the hospital. This ongoing service is part of the Trust’s uninterrupted sewa in accordance with the teachings of the Guru and the principles of humanity.

Teams from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh, Nirmal Ashram Eye Institute, Ganga Prem Hospital, Amritsar Eye Clinic, along with NCC cadets from Shri Bharat Mandir Inter College, also made special contributions.

This service of the Trust is a continuous effort to help the weaker sections of society in accordance with the teachings of Guru Maharaj.
