DEHRADUN, 14 Feb: The Government of Uttarakhand has taken a historic step toward making health services in State Government Medical Colleges more sensitive and professional. Expanding the public welfare dimension of the ‘Medical Social Welfare Officer‘ (MSWO) cadre, the administration has formally defined their new job description, integrating them into administrative and policy-making teams.
Welcoming this landmark decision, Medical Social Welfare Officer Hem Bahuguna, on behalf of the entire cadre, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Hon’ble Health Minister, Secretary of Health, and the Director General of Medical Education.
Hem Bahuguna stated, “Granting our cadre a new identity as ‘Administrative Pillars’ and ‘Master Trainers’ is a matter of great pride. The vision of the Hon’ble Health Minister and departmental officials will bridge the gap between patients and hospitals. We are committed to fulfilling this new responsibility with utmost dedication.”
