GHANSALI (TEHRI), 28 Mar: During his visit to Ghansali on Saturday, Health Minister Subodh Uniyal carried out a surprise inspection at the Community Health Centre in Nandgaon to assess the quality of healthcare services. The minister reviewed the medical facilities available at the hospital, checked the availability of medicines, examined the standards of cleanliness and closely observed the services being provided to patients. He also interacted with patients undergoing treatment and gathered their feedback on the healthcare being delivered.
Issuing firm directions to the concerned officials, the minister emphasised that negligence in healthcare services would not be tolerated and every patient must receive proper and timely treatment. He reiterated that the state government is committed to extending better healthcare facilities to remote areas and continuous efforts are being made in this direction.
It may be noted here that since taking over as the new Health Minister of Uttarakhand, Uniyal is on spree of conducting surprise inspections at various hospitals in the State. He had earlier also conducted surprise inspection at Doon Medical College Hospital in Dehradun. Speaking to Garhwal Post on Saturday, Uniyal asserted that raids would continue and also claimed that he is fully committed to improving the health services at the government hospitals and health centres across the State.
