In the organisational elections of the Indian Youth Congress in Mussoorie, the election of Saurav Sonkar as the City Block President represents not merely a victory for a single post, but also a clear indication of the local youths’ increasing political participation and leadership potential. Saurav Sonkar has been associated with the organisation for a long time, and his activism at the grassroots level has earned him a strong identity among the youth. His victory demonstrates that, alongside traditional faces, new and energetic leaders are now finding their place in local politics.
