Dehradun, 18 May: Public sector oil marketing companies have again assured the people of Uttarakhand that the supply of petrol, diesel and LPG remains normal and uninterrupted across the state. Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited and Indian Oil Corporation Limited jointly issued a statement today, claiming that that all the essential petroleum products including petrol (MS), diesel (HSD) and LPG are available in sufficient quantity in the state and that there is no disruption anywhere.

The companies stressed that the overall supply situation in Uttarakhand is completely stable and adequate. From terminals and depots to retail outlets, the entire fuel distribution chain is operating smoothly and effectively. Continuous monitoring of fuel stocks is being carried out at all locations in the state, and replenishment is undertaken wherever required to maintain seamless availability.

Priority is being accorded to domestic consumers for LPG supply, and its availability remains steady across the state. To ensure uninterrupted supply to all households, the situation is being closely monitored at every stage. The oil industry is maintaining coordination in logistics, stock movement and retail operations to guarantee uninterrupted availability of fuel throughout the region.

The citizens have been urged to remain confident and maintain normal consumption behaviour. The companies have requested consumers to avoid unnecessary purchase or storage of fuel, cautioning against panic buying. They emphasised that all the necessary measures are in place to ensure uninterrupted supply of essential petroleum products across Uttarakhand.

Krishna Kumar Gupta, state coordinator of IOCL Uttarakhand, reassured citizens that there is no cause for concern. He appealed to the consumers to refrain from panic and unnecessary buying or hoarding of fuel and advised that the people should rely only on official communication channels of the oil marketing companies for accurate and verified information regarding fuel availability.
