CM sanctions development works, works related to Kumbh worth Rs 213 crores

Dehradun, 4 Jun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has granted financial approval and administrative sanction of various development works and projects worth Rs 213 crores. They include a wide range of development works, infrastructure projects and for the works related to the forthcoming Kumbh Mela 2027 and Nanda Devi Rajjat Yatra. The allocations include road construction, public amenities, beautification works, temple restoration and measures to strengthen farmers’ economy.

In Chamoli district, an amount of Rs 8.68 crores has been sanctioned for improvement and black‑topping of the Nalgaon‑Bhatiyana motor road as part of the Nanda Devi Rajjat Yatra route. For Kumbh Mela arrangements, an amount of Rs 35 crores has been approved for police administration. In Udham Singh Nagar, Rs 3.95 crores have been sanctioned for reconstruction of Bindukheda Raipur motor road, while Rs 3.37 crores have been approved for a three‑lane elevated corridor from Rispana bridge to Dharampur Chowk in Dehradun. In Almora’s Jageshwar constituency, an amount of Rs 4.92 crores has been sanctioned for reconstruction of the Dinesh Singh motor road, and in Rudraprayag’s Ukhimath block Rs 3.17 crores have been approved for improvement of the Tala Bangali motor road.

Further allocations include Rs 50.08 lakhs for beautification of the fair site at Kulanteshwar Mahadev in Almora’s Salt constituency, Rs 60 lakhs for establishing a women’s technology park in Champawat, and Rs 85 lakhs for temple beautification and boundary wall construction at Baun village in Dharchula constituency of Pithoragarh. Rs 55.22 crores have been sanctioned for Chenagad drinking water scheme in Agastmuni Nagar Panchayat, Rudraprayag, and Rs 2.22 crores for tube‑well works in Gangotri Vihar, Dehradun.

In Bageshwar, an amount of Rs 8.52 crores has been approved for construction of the Devaldhar‑Maithan‑Leti‑Girechina motor road. Rs 37.60 lakhs have been sanctioned for construction of a bathing ghat at Ram Paduka temple in Mansi, and Rs 1.25 crores for completion of renovation works at Sukeshwar Mahadev temple in Sakuni village. In Haridwar’s Piran Kaliyar constituency, Rs 16.49 lakhs have been sanctioned for boundary wall construction at Mewad Nagad cremation ground. Additionally, an amount of Rs 81.47 crores has been approved for agricultural loans and cooperative mills against a provision of Rs 130 crores. In Sitarganj constituency, Rs 88.76 lakhs have been sanctioned for road construction in Gurugram village and Rs 1.79 crores for reconstruction of the route via Taraknath temple in Surendranagar.

Besides this, the CM has also approved naming of Takula Primary School, Dhaulra in Someshwar block of Almora district after freedom fighter Vidyadhar Vaishnav.
