DEHRADUN, 6 Jun: A seminar titled “Hazrat Khwaja Syed Hasan Nizami and His Love for the Holy Prophet (PBUH)” was organized on 73rd annual Urs of Shams-ul-Ulama Hazrat Khwaja Syed Hasan Nizami (R.A.) at Khwaja Hall, the shrine complex of Hazrat Khwaja Syed Hasan Nizami at New Delhi.
The seminar was presided over by renowned educationist and scholar Prof. Akhtarul Wasey, while Dr. S. Farooq and Hamid Ahmad attended as chief guests.
Speakers highlighted the religious, literary, social and national contributions of Hazrat Khwaja Syed Hasan Nizami (R.A.), describing him as a distinguished scholar, writer and spiritual guide whose teachings promoted the values of love for the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), communal harmony, human brotherhood and service to humanity.
Dr. S. Farooq said that the message of Hazrat Nizami remains highly relevant in the contemporary world and can serve as a guidance force for promoting peace, tolerance and mutual respect among communities.
Among those present were Hazrat Suhail Faridi, Prof. Zaheer Hasan Jafri, Prof. Sharif Husain Qasmi, Airaq Raza Zaidi, Syed Peer Pashah Nizami, Prof. Fakhruddin Nizami, Khalid Nizami, Dr. Mohammad Abdul Rafi, Abdul Malik Nizami, Farooq Argali, Dr. Aqeel Ahmad, Afzal Manglori, and several other scholars, intellectuals and social activists.
A large number of devotees, scholars, writers, students and members of the public attended the event. The seminar concluded with prayers for peace, prosperity and communal harmony.
The programme was convened by Khwaja Syed Mohammad Shafi Nizami, Sajjadanashin of the Dargah, who thanked the distinguished guests and participants for their presence and support in making the event a success.
