Govt working towards making U’khand a developed state by 2035: Satpal Maharaj

Pauri, 5 Jul: As part of the Uttarakhand Government’s 15-day Seva Pakhwada campaign, being organised under the theme “Government for Every Citizen, at Every Doorstep”, Cabinet Minister and Chaubattakhal MLA Satpal Maharaj toured his constituency, participating in BJP Mandal Workers’ Conferences, organisational meetings, and public outreach programmes. During the visit, he interacted with local residents, listened to their grievances, and informed them about various welfare schemes being implemented by the state government.

Under the Seva Pakhwada campaign, Maharaj held meetings with BJP workers from the Pinani, Ghuddounsyu, Kota, Panchur, Mankot, and Patisain Shakti Kendras. He also interacted with local residents, heard their concerns, and highlighted the government’s public welfare initiatives.

On the occasion, the Cabinet Minister laid the foundation stone and performed the Bhoomi Pujan for several development projects in Pabau Block. These included the asphalting of the Pabau–Pinani–Damdeval Motor Road (km 16–18) at a cost of Rs 1.48 crore, the improvement and asphalting of the Pabau–Damdeval Motor Road (km 32–33) at a cost of Rs 1.23 crore, and the construction of the Jhagarbau–Siwal–Palli Gaon Motor Road under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) at an estimated cost of Rs 15.84 crore. He also inaugurated a newly constructed Panchayat Bhawan at Jhangarbau, built at a cost of Rs 10 lakh.

Addressing a gathering at the Government Higher Secondary School, Pinani, Maharaj said that the government’s objective is to ensure the effective delivery of welfare schemes to every household under the resolve of “Service, Good Governance, and Dedication”. He added that the state government is working with a clear vision to make Uttarakhand a developed state by 2035.

Several departmental officials, BJP office-bearers and workers, along with a large number of local residents, were present on the occasion.
