Dehradun, 10 Jul: The “Viksit Bharat Young Professionals Roundtable” was successfully organised today at DBS Global University, Dehradun, under the joint aegis of My Bharat, Dehradun, and the Indian Mountaineering Foundation, as part of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue-2026 initiative of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.
The programme began with the offering of flowers to the portrait of Goddess Saraswati and the lighting of a lamp. This was followed by a group rendition of Vande Mataram. At the event, Megha Sharma, presenter of My Bharat, gave an impressive presentation on the topic “Fit India, Hit India”.
Students from various colleges and universities across the state, NCC, NSS, and My Bharat volunteers, young professionals, and teachers enthusiastically participated. The event featured detailed discussions on healthy lifestyles, leadership skills, innovation, discipline, and the vision of a developed India by 2047.
Panellists included Dr Anjum Agarwal, Vice President of DBS Global University, Dr AS Suresh Iyer, Yatharth Gairola, Group Captain RC Tripathi, and Advocate Ritu Gujral. Experts shared their views, stating that “Fit India” is not limited to physical fitness; only mentally strong, disciplined, and responsible youth can lay a strong foundation for a developed India. They urged young people to actively contribute to volunteerism, social responsibility, and nation-building.
During the programme, panel discussions and question-answer sessions were organised on important topics like health, career, leadership, adventure activities and nation building, in which participants asked their questions to experts and received useful guidance.
In the end, Monica Nandal, Deputy Director of Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), Dehradun, proposed the vote of thanks. Giving detailed information about the MY Bharat department and MY Bharat portal to all the participants, she called upon more youth to join the portal. During the programme, all the participants were administered the oath of drug de-addiction. At the closing ceremony, certificates were given to all the participants and the programme concluded successfully with the national anthem.
