Dehradun, 15 Sep: The Dehradun Chapter of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) organised a Teachers’ Conference and Felicitation Ceremony on 13 September at Mahotsav The Banquet Hall, Raipur, Dehradun.
Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and former Union Minister, was the ‘Chief Dignitary’. Wing Commander Anupama Joshi (Retd) was the Chief Guest. Brij Bhushan Gairola, MLA, Doiwala, was the Distinguished Guest, while Hari Bhandari, Chairman, Doon Woods Global School, was the Guest of Honour. Dharmendra Singh Rawat, District President, Uttarakhand Primary Teachers’ Association, was the Special Guest.
Swati Dobhal, Corporator, Nathuwala, was also present on the occasion.
Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ shared his thoughts on the importance of education, the evolving role of teachers, and various dimensions of the present education system and the National Education Policy.
Wg Cdr Anupama Joshi, in her address, highlighted the vital role of teachers in the holistic development of children, particularly in today’s environment where students are increasingly influenced by social media and the digital world. She encouraged teachers to guide students towards balanced use of technology, strong values, critical thinking and responsible behaviour.
Brij Bhushan Gairola also shared his views on various important aspects of education and teaching, while Swati Dobhal spoke about the importance of teachers and education.
The programme was attended by principals and educators from several reputed schools of Dehradun, whose presence added to the significance and dignity of the occasion.
On this occasion, teachers from various educational institutions were felicitated in recognition of their noteworthy contribution and dedicated services in the field of education. Dr Divya Negi Ghai and CS HP Vyas shared their valuable perspectives on the occasion.
The welcome address was delivered by CS Dr Ruchitra Kaparwan, Chairperson, ICSI Dehradun Chapter, who gave a warm and inspiring beginning to the programme. The proceedings of the event were efficiently conducted by CS Dr Sangeeta Bagga, former Chairperson, ICSI Dehradun Chapter, who served as the Master of Ceremonies.
Also present were CS CMA Devna Juyal, Secretary, Dehradun Chapter; CS Neha Rastogi; and CS HP Vyas, Senior Company Secretary and Eminent Speaker, along with other ICSI office bearers and distinguished dignitaries.
