Dehradun, 3 Nov: To redress the grievances of pensioners, veer naris and their dependants, 22 teams of Satat Milap from Garhwal Regiment are visiting the Garhwal region from 1 November under the supervision of Garhwal Records, Lansdowne.
The Garhwal Rifles has launched this programme of Satat Milap (Perpetual Contact) for the pensioners, veer naris and their dependants. The Satat Milap programme is scheduled from 1 to 30 November. Under this unique programme of the regiment, the teams from all battalions of Garhwal Rifles contact the pensioners in their allocated areas through the representative of Block and district Sainik Welfare Office. They assist the veterans to upload their Digital as well as manual life certificates.
They are also made aware about Children Education Allowance claims and also about ongoing project SAMEEKHA and Sankalp Portal.
The teams also reach out the war wounded veterans to assist them in terms of issuance of mobility equipment, if due, and collect necessary documents for processing the same.
OIC, Records Garhwal Rifles and CRO, Records, has appealed to all Ex-serviceman, Veer Naris and their dependants to meet the Satat Milap Teams of their block to avail the maximum benefits of this scheme.
