Dehradun, 30 Apr: St Joseph’s Academy celebrated its Senior School Investiture Ceremony, here, today. The ceremony marked the formal induction of the newly elected student council members into their respective positions of leadership.
The Chief Guest on the occasion was Chief Secretary Radha Raturi. Other dignitaries included Secretary Radhika Jha, Mrs and Mr Meenakshi Sundaram, and Mrs and Dr Pankaj Kumar Pandey, as also Principal Bro Jeyaseelan, Bro JC Carroll, Coordinators, parents of the newly appointed Council Members, teachers and students.
The ceremony took place in the school auditorium. The stage was adorned with the school and house flags. The ceremony commenced with a welcome address. Next, the section toppers from the senior school were felicitated for their remarkable performances.
Each incoming office-bearer was adorned with the respective insignia of their position. This was done by pinning of the badges by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries. The newly appointed student council members solemnly took the oath of office led by Principal Bro Jeyaseelan to uphold the values of integrity, diligence, and service to the school and its community.
The ceremony also witnessed captivating cultural performances. These included musical renditions and dance presentations.
An inspirational message was delivered by Chief Guest Radha Raturi. She emphasised the importance of empathy, belief in the self and the freedom for each child to blossom with his or her choice of career. She congratulated the entire council body for achieving this milestone in their lives.
