CM praises arrangements at Kainchi Dham

Nainital, 17 Jun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a meeting with departmental officials on monsoon preparations and departmental review meeting at the Nainital Club here today. He said that it is the government’s priority to ensure that benefits of government schemes reach every person and every section of society. For this, all the officers should work with mutual coordination and better planning, he observed.
Dhami said that many times complaints are received, then the officers complicate the work of the common people, whereas the officers should aim at simplifying the task and solving the problems rather than complicating them. He issued strict instructions to the officers and said that work should be done keeping the interest of the common people in mind. For this, the departmental officers will have to take responsibility, only then the work of the common people will be done easily, this is the priority and objective of the government that the work of the common people should be done as soon as possible and better facilities can be provided.
While reviewing the performance of the electricity department, the CM said that every day information is received from various social media that the electricity bills of the people are coming more than their electricity consumption. In this regard, the CM directed the Chief Engineer of the Electricity Department to set up camps for electricity improvement in remote areas. Along with this, instructions were also given to provide electricity bill correction facility to the general public in all the power houses.
The CM said that this year twice as many pilgrims have come on the Adi Kailash Yatra as compared to past year. This shows that more passengers are likely to come in future. The government needs to develop facilities in view of the increasing number of passengers coming to Adi Kailash. In this direction, instructions were given to Kumaon Commissioner and MD KMVN to work out a plan in this regard. It is worth noting that last year, 315 pilgrims went to Adi Kailash through KMVN in the entire season, whereas this year so far 610 have visited Adi Kailash. Also, Inner Line Permit has been issued to about 15 thousand people.
In the meeting, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also sought detailed information about the preparations for the monsoon. He said that before the monsoon, the work of patch work, widening of roads, etc., should be completed. Along with this, the Municipal Corporation officials were instructed to complete the work of cleaning the drains, etc. He reminded that instructions were also given to complete the arrangements for health services, electricity, water, etc., during the monsoon season so that people do not have to face problems. He instructed the officials of all the departments to plant as many saplings as possible in the monsoon.
Dhami also observed that this year the district administration made better arrangements in Kainchi Dham. Devotees did not have to face traffic jam in the fair, as well as the health facility was also better. People did not face inconvenience as adequate small permanent and temporary parking lots in Bhawali and Garampani were set up.
The CM also discussed the beautification and other works in Kainchi before the Kainchi Dham fair to be held in 2025. He directed completion of the works of bridge construction of Sanitorium Bypass, asphalting, Amrit Sarovar near Kainchi Dham, etc., on priority.
Bhimtal MLA Ram Singh Kaida said that due to lack of adequate parking facility in Bhimtal, tourists are facing problems and traffic jams. On which the CM said that the problem of jam can be solved by giving instructions to mark places for permanent and temporary parking in Bhimtal and nearby areas and by coordinating with the inter college and making a small parking in the school land.
