DEHRADUN, 28 Oct: Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi participated in a programme to distribute sports materials to 47 Anganwadi centres across 11 wards in the Mussoorie assembly constituency, funded by his MLA-LAD fund for the year 2024-25. He distributed educational and sports materials to the Anganwadi centres.
In his address, Joshi extended Diwali greetings to everyone and emphasised that education is crucial and essential for the development of any country. He noted that the initiative to provide sports and educational materials to children in the 47 Anganwadi centres reflects this commitment. He stated, “These children are the future of our country, and it is our duty to guide them rightly.” He reiterated Prime Minister Modi’s slogan, “India will progress only when our children excel in education.”
The Minister acknowledged the continuous public welfare efforts by the government under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. He announced the provision of free educational materials, sports equipment, water bottles, tiffin boxes, and other essential items to the children of all Anganwadi centres in the Mussoorie assembly area.
He highlighted that this initiative aligns with Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay’s vision of reaching the benefits of schemes to the last segment of society. He reiterated the importance of quality education for every child, affirming the government’s ongoing commitment to providing quality education to the children of the underprivileged.
During the event, Neha Joshi, National Vice President of BJP Yuva Morcha, also addressed the audience. Anganwadi workers raised various issues they face, to which Minister Ganesh Joshi assured that their needs would be prioritised.
