Dehradun, 4 Dec: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami released the book, “Upanishadic Darshan Bodh”, authored by Prakash Suman Dhyani a senior BJP leader at his Camp Office here today. The event was graced by former Governor of Maharashtra, Bhagat Singh Koshyari, and Speaker Ritu Khanduri Bhushan, among others.
While extending his best wishes to the author, the CM praised Dhyani for promoting Indian Vedic philosophy and Sanatan culture. He also observed that the book simplifies the profound mysteries of the Upanishads, presenting diverse dimensions of Indian knowledge traditions. The CM remarked that the Upanishads are an invaluable treasure of Indian culture and philosophy that guide the world toward knowledge and consciousness. They advocate the concept of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ and provide a practical vision for humanity alongside spiritual contemplation.
He further emphasised the relevance of the Upanishads and Vedas in today’s era of advancing knowledge and science. He felt that the book would inspire the readers to explore self-development, reflection, and self-discovery, especially amidst rising materialism. He noted Uttarakhand’s role as a spiritual hub and expressed hope that the book would uphold the state’s legacy as Devbhoomi.
Former Governor and former CM, Bhagat Singh Koshyari lauded Dhyani’s transition from biology studies to self-knowledge and congratulated him on writing such a profound book. He noted that it is remarkable to delve into a complex subject like the Upanishads. Spirituality, the treasure and pride of India, is increasingly drawing global attention. He remarked that India has taught to the world spiritual wisdom and yoga.
Speaker Ritu Khanduri Bhushan also commended the author’s effort to bridge the Upanishads and Vedas with the general public in an accessible manner through his book. She also underlined the importance of these scriptures in the 21st century for moral guidance and nurturing the younger generation.
