Rishikesh, 29 Dec: The fifteenth free health camp was organised in the Gurdwara Shri Hemkunt Sahib premises here, today, to commemorate the Prakash Parv of Guru Gobind Singh.
Dehradun District Magistrate Savin Bansal also attended the camp and donated blood. He appreciated the selfless service of the doctors and the organisers.
Gurdwara Trust President Sardar Narinder Jit Singh Bindra thanked the doctors and guests and welcomed everyone. Bindra revealed that specialists of various diseases such as heart, eye, ENT, brain, stomach, orthopaedic, dental, gynaecology, paediatrics, neurology, and skin provided their services free of charge. Medicines were also provided free of cost by the Trust.

Tests such as ECG, X-ray, ultrasound, and CT scan, breast screening, cervical cancer, and colposcopy were also conducted free of charge. More than 2674 people registered for the camp.
Blood donors also donated blood and earned punya (good deeds). A total of 73 units of blood were donated.


Many doctors, including Dr KJS Sabharwal, Dr NB Shrivastava, Dr BS Jaj, Dr Ajit Gairola, Dr Nipun Sharda, Dr Lokesh Saluja, Dr Siddhant Khanna, Dr Himanshu Aggarwal, Dr Dinesh Sharma, and many others, provided their services. Apart from them, AIIMS Rishikesh, Nirmal Ashram Eye Institute, Ganga Prem Hospital, and NCC cadets of Shri Bharat Mandir Inter College also contributed significantly.
Prominent personalities of the city, including Harsh Vardhan Sharma, Rajendra Sethi, Vinod Sharma, Madan Mohan Sharma, Boota Singh, Manga Singh, Usha Rawat, Bachan Pokhriyal, Mahant Balbir Singh, Vicky Sethi, Major Gobind Singh Rawat, and Vimala Rawat, were also present. Bindra requested everyone to visit the Gurdwara on 6 January 2025, to celebrate the birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh and seek his blessings.
