Dehradun, 31 Dec: The BJP has constituted a State Election Management Committee to finalise the strategies for the upcoming Municipal elections. At a meeting held at the party headquarters, today, the committee finalised its plan to ensure BJP’s victory across all wards, Nagar Panchayats, municipalities, and corporations.
State Media In-charge Manveer Chauhan stated that the committee, formed under the leadership of State President Mahendra Bhatt, includes 14 key departments. The core team features Aditya Kothari as Co-Convener, along with prominent leaders such as Khilendra Chaudhary, Rajendra Bisht, and others. Specialised teams have been assigned responsibilities like publicity, literature distribution, social media outreach, and voter engagement to streamline election efforts.
During the meeting, State General Secretary (Organisation) Ajaey Kumar outlined the roles and responsibilities of the committee members. He emphasised on the need to communicate the achievements of the Central and State Governments to the public. He added that, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the party aims to build trust among the people and win across all electoral bodies.
Points discussed included Booth Management under which the members were tasked with engaging new voters, reconnecting with absentee voters, and increasing voter turnout. Plans were made to address local issues, identify key societal groups, and distribute election materials efficiently.
In addition, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, State President Mahendra Bhatt, former Chief Ministers, and other senior BJP leaders would be actively campaigning for party candidates.
State General Secretary Aditya Kothari stressed on the importance of voter outreach at the booth level, including direct communication with beneficiaries of government schemes. He also stressed on the crucial role of the party’s youth, women, and SC wings in mobilising support. With these initiatives, BJP aims for a comprehensive victory in the upcoming civic elections.
