KOTDWAR, 29 Jan: On the occasion of her birthday, Speaker of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly and the popular MLA of Kotdwar constituency, Ritu Khanduri Bhushan, participated in several religious and social activities. She began her day by visiting the ancient Siddhbal temple in Kotdwar, where she performed a puja ritual and prayed to Baba Siddhbali for the prosperity and well-being of the people of the state.
Following this, the Speaker visited the Gaushala in Kashirampur, Kotdwar, where she fed fodder to the cows and engaged in Gau Seva. She expressed her respect for the cow and highlighted the importance of cow service.
She then visited the Leprosy Ashram in Garhi Ghat, Kotdwar, and interacted with the residents. She distributed ration and food supplies to the individuals staying there and assured them of all possible assistance.
The Speaker also went to the Balmiki Samaj Temple in Ampadav, where she celebrated her birthday with members of the Balmiki community and extended her best wishes for their welfare.
Bhushan also participated in a community feast (bhandara) at a local Devi temple, where she performed darshan and distributed prasad to the devotees. Later, the Speaker visited the Divyang Institute in Nimbuchaud, Kotdwar, where she met with differently-abled students and distributed study materials to them. She celebrated her birthday with the students, sharing in their happiness.
Finally, Ritu Bhushan visited the Bharti Devi Education Institute in Zhandichaud East, Kotdwar, where she met with more differently-abled students. She again celebrated her birthday with them and provided educational materials to help improve their academic progress.
Through these religious and social activities, it is obvious that Ritu Bhushan’s work extends far beyond politics. Her efforts for the welfare of all sections of society reflect her dedication and sense of responsibility towards serving the community. Celebrating her birthday with people from various walks of life demonstrates her spirit of service and commitment to society.
