DEHRADUN, 29 Jan: Senior social worker and former Congress leader Asha Lal was honored with an honorary degree (doctorate) by the Magic Book of Records University Foundation for her contribution in the field of social service and education. In the felicitation ceremony held in Faridabad, about 55 people from across the country were decorated with honorary degrees. Asha Lal is the daughter of freedom fighter, veteran Congress leader and social worker late Jogaram ji who participated in the freedom movement and worked throughout his life for the welfare of the deprived society. Asha Lal, inspired by her father and is continuously working for the education and social service of the deprived section of the society. She expressed her gratitude to the Magic Book of Records University Foundation. She said that this honor doubles her responsibility and inspires her to make more efforts for the country and society.
