Siddharth Sah sworn in as Additional Judge of U’khand High Court

Nainital, 8 Jan: Advocate Siddharth Sah was sworn in as an Additional Judge of the Uttarakhand High Court today with the oath of office and secrecy administered by Chief Justice G Narendar. With this appointment, the strength of judges in the High Court has risen to ten, marking a significant development just a day before Chief Justice Narendar is set to retire tomorrow.

The swearing-in ceremony was held at the Chief Justice’s court in Nainital, where Registrar General Yogesh Kumar Gupta read out the warrant of appointment issued under the signature of the President of India. Following this, Chief Justice Narendar formally administered the oath to Siddharth Sah, thereby inducting him as an Additional Judge of the High Court.

Among those present on this occasion were several judges, lawyers and other dignitaries including senior judges Justice Manoj Tiwari, Justice Ravindra Maithani, Justice Alok Verma, Justice Rakesh Thapliyal, Justice Pankaj Purohit, Justice Ashish Naithani, Justice Alok Mehra, and Justice Subhash Upadhyay. Advocate General SN Babulkar was also present, along with Chief Standing Counsel CS Rawat, Bar Association President DCS Rawat, General Secretary Saurabh Adhikari, Bar Council Member DK Sharma, and senior advocates Avtar Singh Rawat and MC Kandpal.

A large number of advocates and retired judges, including Justice Rajesh Tandon, Justice BS Verma, and Justice Sharad Sharma, were also present on the occasion. In addition, Justice Siddharth Sah’s father and advocate ML Sah, senior journalist Rajiv Lochan Sah, Padma Shri awardee Anup Sah, as well as the judge’s wife, children, family members, relatives, and officials from the police and administration were also present.
