Dehradun, 9 Jan: The Bharatiya Janata Party is set to commence its nationwide VB-G RAM G public awareness campaign in the state tomorrow, beginning with a state-level workshop. Detailed information regarding this rural employment scheme, described as a game-changing initiative, will be shared during the workshop, which has been organised to mark the launch. The message of the programme will be taken to the masses through conventions, door-to-door contact drives, farmer foot marches, and rallies featuring tractors and bullock carts. Coordination teams have been constituted for the campaign under the leadership of State General Secretary Kundan Parihar.

BJP’s State Media In-charge Manveer Chauhan stated that the one-day workshop, scheduled for 11 a.m. tomorrow, will benefit from the guidance of National Vice President and State Co-in-charge Rekha Verma, along with State President and Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt and State General Secretary (Organisation) Ajaey Kumar. The meeting will see the participation of state office bearers, district presidents, district in-charges, co-in-charges, and members of the teams associated with the programme.  Chauhan also shared that Mahendra Bhatt has entrusted the responsibility of coordinating the public awareness campaign at the state level to a team led by Kundan Parihar, which includes Mahendra Singh Negi, State President of Kisan Morcha; Bhuvan Vikram Dabral, state-appointed functionary; Deshraj Karnwal, state-appointed functionary; and Umesh Tripathi, State Co-convener of the Cooperative Cell.

Speaking about the awareness campaign, Mahendra Bhatt stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the VB-G RAM G, or Viksit Bharat-Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission Bill 2025, has been passed in Parliament. He described it as a revolutionary step towards the goal of a developed India, which will replace MGNREGA to accelerate rural development and curb corruption. He added that the law is expected to strengthen the rural economy through livelihood support and asset creation. Bhatt emphasised that this innovation demonstrates the Prime Minister’s continuous commitment to farmers and labourers. This scheme aims to ensure a comprehensive contribution of rural India towards the Vision of Developed India 2047 through such reforms.

Campaign State Coordinator Kundan Parihar added that the objective is to inform farmers and agricultural labourers about the benefits of VB-G RAM G in simple language as compared to MGNREGA. He stressed on the need for effectively refuting misinformation being spread, which labels VB-G RAM G as anti-farmer or anti-poor, by using facts and ground-level examples. A four-member committee has been formed at the district level to oversee campaign activities, and with their cooperation, press conferences including presentations of the scheme will be organised at district headquarters. In this sequence, district conventions of District Panchayat members, Block Panchayat members, and Sarpanches will also be held, attended by MPs, MLAs, district-level members of cooperative institutions, and candidates who contested District and Block Panchayat elections.

Chauhan added that, in addition, block or mandal-level conventions will be organised for all elected Gram Panchayat members and elected cooperative chairpersons, featuring the participation of District and Block Panchayat members. A dialogue will be established with farmers by organising farmer and labourer chaupals at the Gram Panchayat level, and the benefits of VB-G RAM G will be clearly explained and doubts addressed. Parihar further mentioned that a door-to-door contact campaign will be conducted in villages for the effective dissemination of accurate, factual, and authentic information at the grassroots level. Public outreach programmes such as farmer foot marches, tractor rallies, and bullock cart rallies will also be organised at block headquarters. Virtual workshops will be organised prior to the commencement of district, mandal, and village-level programmes. A contact campaign will also be initiated for all farmer organisations and farmer-labour unions to inform them about the benefits of the VB-G RAM G Act. Full and active participation of all elected representatives up to the Panchayat level will be ensured throughout the campaign.
