Dignitaries call on CM Dhami to extend New Year greetings

Dehradun, 1 Jan: Various dignitaries including ministers, officials, public representatives including MLAs, other appointees, and people from diverse fields called on Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to extend New Year greetings to him at his official residence here today. In addition, high-ranking personnel from various Central Government departments and organisations, including the ITBP, also called on him to extend their felicitations.
Dhami warmly welcomed the visitors and thanked them for their good wishes. He observed that the New Year brings fresh energy, new resolutions, and opportunities that reinforce commitment to serving society and the state. He described 2026 as a significant milestone in Uttarakhand’s development journey, with the state government planning decisive steps towards good governance, public welfare, and self-reliance.
Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance, the government remains fully committed to the all-round progress of the state.
The CM on this occasion also outlined the government’s key priorities, which include ensuring development schemes that benefit every citizen, generating employment for the youth, empowering women, and bolstering essential services like education and health. Preservation of the state’s natural and cultural heritage continues to receive top emphasis, alongside safeguarding the sacred religious ethos of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand.
Dhami expressed confidence that, with cooperation from the administration and the public, 2026 will mark a crucial phase in elevating Uttarakhand among India’s leading states. He urged all sections of society to unite for the state’s advancement and extended wishes for the happiness, prosperity, and well-being of citizens, hoping the New Year ushers in success and fresh possibilities for everyone.
Among those who called on the CM today were cabinet ministers Subodh Uniyal and Ganesh Joshi, Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal, Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, DGP Deepam Seth, various secretaries, senior police officials and additional secretaries including Director General of Information Banshidhar Tiwari.
