Dehradun, 14 Dec: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the unveiling ceremony of the statue of Bharat Ratna awardee, former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, in Madanapalle, Annamaya district, Andhra Pradesh on Sunday. On this occasion, the Chief Minister participated in the “Atal-Modi Good Governance Yatra” and addressed a public gathering.
The Chief Minister expressed pride in participating in this Yatra, organised by the Andhra Pradesh BJP, on the occasion of Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birth centenary. He said that AB Vajpayee’s entire life was a living symbol of patriotism, democratic values, and human values.
The Chief Minister said that under Vajpayee’s leadership, India achieved numerous achievements, including the Pokhran nuclear tests, the Golden Quadrilateral Project, the Rural Roads Scheme, and the telecommunications revolution. By successfully leading a coalition government in the country, he proved that all parties can work together when the objective is national progress.
The Chief Minister said that inspired by Vajpayee, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is continuously achieving new heights in service, good governance, and welfare of the poor. He said that through schemes like ‘Startup India’, ‘Make in India’, ‘Digital India’, and ‘Vocal for Local’, India is moving strongly towards self-reliance.
He said that, today, India has become a leading economic power in the world and is making remarkable progress in the fields of defence, space, and infrastructure. During the Modi government’s tenure, 99 percent of the country’s villages have been connected by road, while historic changes have also been witnessed in the health, education, and transportation sectors.
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, unprecedented work is being done to preserve the Sanatan culture and religious heritage of the country – the Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, the Mahakal Lok in Ujjain, and the reconstruction of Badrinath and Kedarnath Dhams are examples of this.
He said that historic decisions like the abrogation of Article 370 in Kashmir, the abolition of triple talaq, the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), and the Waqf Amendment have provided a strong foundation for the resolve of “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.”
On this occasion, Chief Minister Dhami praised the ongoing development work in Andhra Pradesh under the leadership of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and said that the state is setting new dimensions of development through the Polavaram project, industrial cities, night vision factories, semiconductor units, etc.
He said that the creation of Uttarakhand was possible only due to the inspiration of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and today, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttarakhand has become a leading state in the fields of education, health, startups, employment, and good governance. Implementation of the Uniform Civil Code, anti-conversion laws, and strict measures against land jihad have been taken in this direction.
