CM grants approval to development projects worth over Rs 210 crores

Dehradun, 11 Dec: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has accorded financial sanctions to projects worth over Rs 210 crores for development schemes, disaster management works and the execution of various CM’s announcements across the state. The approvals cover a wide range of sectors, including road connectivity, airport expansion, horticulture, drinking water facilities, flood protection and disaster response readiness.

Dhami granted approval of Rs 7.24 crores for the procurement of 71 Bolero vehicles to strengthen relief and rescue operations in disaster-affected districts as per their specific requirements. A major sanction of Rs 188.55 crores was also granted by him today for the realignment of NH-109 over a stretch of about 7 km to facilitate the expansion of Pantnagar Airport. This is a project considered crucial for improving regional air connectivity and supporting future economic activity in the Kumaon region.

An amount of over Rs 14 crores has been approved by him for works under the Chief Minister’s Announcements. Among these are Rs 88.76 lakhs for connecting roads from Harkot to Thamdi Kund and Jalath to Phaguni Udyar in Dharchula Assembly constituency of Pithoragarh district, and Rs 84.12 lakhs for constructing a 3.02 km motor road from Dobata to Martali. A sum of Rs 45.74 lakhs was sanctioned for the construction of a CC connecting road from village Nainipatal to Bhagwati Temple under the Munakot Development Block in the Didihat Assembly constituency.

In Champawat Assembly constituency, Champawat district, the CM approved an amount of Rs 98.18 lakhs for the horticultural development under NABARD. Additionally, Rs 533.79 lakhs has been approved for the construction of a mini development building/bar building in Purnagiri Tehsil. For the Chakrata Assembly constituency in Dehradun district, Rs 55.95 lakhs was sanctioned for constructing public tin sheds in Gram Panchayats Kandi, Chama and Gata. In the Khatima Assembly constituency of Udham Singh Nagar district, Rs 499.65 lakhs were approved for installing 300 hand pumps to enhance drinking water availability in rural areas.

The CM has also approved Rs 24.37 lakh for flood protection works near Bharat Oil and Waste Management Factory in Mukimpur village under Narsan Development Block. The work will include constructing two cement concrete spurs on the left bank of the Solani River to safeguard the area from erosion and flooding.
