By Our Staff Reporter
Dehradun, 15 Jul: In the one day meeting of the Extended State Executive Committee of BJP, Union Minister of Power, Manohar Lal Khattar was the keynote speaker. Addressing the meeting in the presence of State In-charge of the Party affairs Dushyant Gautam, Khattar fiercely attacked the Congress accusing it of spreading utter lies and attempting to deceive the country. He quipped that this is the first election when the winner is happy and the loser is also happy. Speaking on the “lies of the Congress” in detail, he claimed that the first lie is that NDA government is a minority government. He asserted that without even a slightest of the doubt, NDA has won 290 seats and thus has a clear majority. He wanted to know on what grounds does Congress consider that NDA Government is a minority government when the magical figure for the majority is 272 seats in Lok Sabha. Khattar also reminded that in 2004, the Congress alliance UPA had got only 225 seats and in 2009 it got 262 seats and both times they had to take the help of the Third Front to form the government. The former CM of Haryana also reminded that apart from this, this time, the BJP has also formed the government on its own in two states and with the help of allies in two other states.
Khattar claimed that Congress is happy with the manipulation of 99 and is behaving as if it has won the election. He also took a jibe at the opposition for calling the Modi Government a one-third government, saying that we have ruled for one-third of the time i.e. 10 years and we are going to rule for the next two-thirds i.e. 20 years. He also congratulated the state BJP organisation that it has managed to capture all the five Lok Sabha seats of the state.
In his address, state in-charge Dushyant Gautam said that Chief Minister Dhami has set many historical records with his work in these three years. Be it disaster, law and order, start of development work or participation in any social programme. The CM has led from the front on every front, which sent a good message to the public. At the same time, Prime Minister Modi has set a record by winning for the third consecutive time at the Centre. Here he clarified that while Pandit Nehru had also won three times in a row but the circumstances were then completely in favour of the Congress, whereas today in adverse circumstances when there are more than 105 parties instead of 5, and there are challenges like Corona, inflation, global economic decline and mutual factionalism of countries. Despite this, the country is continuously moving towards becoming a world leader. Accusing the Congress, he said, the scams started in India with the Jeep scam during Nehru’s tenure, and there has been a briefcase culture from peon to PM during Indira Gandhi’s tenure. Rajeev Gandhi himself was accused of accepting commission in the Bofors scam and that even the current leadership of Congress is on bail on charges of scam.
The extended state working committee of BJP concluded with the goal of building a developed Uttarakhand. In the working committee, a motion of gratitude was passed for describing the 3-year tenure of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami as unmatched and PM Modi taking charge of the country for the third time.
