Dehradun, 2 Nov: As Uttarakhand celebrates its 25th foundation anniversary, the Silver Jubilee festivities are being held across the state with great enthusiasm. On this special occasion, the hashtag #DhamiKaGoodGovernance has been trending widely on social media. Thousands of citizens, influencers, and youth have shared the state’s achievements while praising Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s transparent policies, strict action against corruption, and strong financial discipline.
The government’s zero-tolerance policy against corruption and the message “Ab Pad Nahin, Patrata Chalti Hai” (“Now merit, not position, determines power”) have been among the most discussed topics online. People lauded CM Dhami’s decisive actions against corruption, saying, “In Uttarakhand, only merit rules now”, and “Action even against IAS officers has restored people’s faith”. The state’s ‘1064 Anti-Corruption Helpline’ was described as a model of “public participation and responsive governance”. Citizens said that “complaints no longer stay stuck in files — they now turn into action”, calling it the true essence of good governance.
Financial integrity was another major theme of discussion online. Users highlighted that Uttarakhand maintained its development pace over the past four years without taking any new loans. Many remarked, “When the intent is honest, development needs planning, not debt.” Social media users hailed this as a “Model of Economic Integrity”, crediting it to clean intent and precise policy. Transparency in the mining sector, which helped increase state revenue from Rs 300 crore to Rs1,200 crore, was widely celebrated as the “Dhami Model of Transparency”.
Uttarakhand’s national recognition for financial transparency also became a point of pride among citizens. They proudly shared that Uttarakhand has become India’s No. 1 state in the SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) Index and ranked second nationally in financial management. From Ease of Doing Business to investment-friendly policies, the narrative of growth dominated social media discussions. Citizens appreciated the government for significant increases in GSDP and per capita income, calling it a reflection of strong governance.
It was also highlighted that, in the past four years, Uttarakhand received more central project approvals than ever before. Long-pending projects like Lakhwar, Song, and Jamrani were fast-tracked, earning the government widespread appreciation. People remarked, “The double-engine government has truly delivered development to the grassroots.”
On the occasion of the Silver Jubilee celebrations, a unified public sentiment echoed across social platforms:
“This is the New Uttarakhand — This is Dhami Ka Good Governance.”
The Silver Jubilee of Uttarakhand is not just a celebration of 25 years of statehood — it marks a transformative journey where strict anti-corruption measures, policy transparency, and financial discipline have turned a small hill state into a national example of good governance.
