Dehradun, 12 Dec: All the government officers and employees in Uttarakhand have been directed to furnish complete details of their own movable and immovable assets as well as those of their family members.
As per the directions of the personnel department, by 15 December, all Heads of Departments and Secretaries must submit the asset details of the officials and employees under their charge to the Personnel Department. The order was issued yesterday evening by Secretary, Personnel, Shailesh Bagoli. It is learnt that the government has issued these instructions following strict observations by the High Court. According to Bagoli, officials and employees will be required to provide information on assets declared at the time of their appointment along with details of their current assets. They will also have to report any increase in assets within a period of five years on a regular basis. Along with their own assets, employees and officials must disclose the assets of their spouse, dependant brothers, dependant sisters, mother, father, son, daughter and any other dependant relatives. The Personnel Secretary has also instructed all Heads of Departments and Secretaries to ensure that the details are submitted within the stipulated time without fail. Failure to comply with the order will result in action against the personnel concerned.
