Annual Day functions conclude at The Asian School

Dehradun, 17 Oct: Major Gen MPS Gill, General Officer Commanding (GOC), Uttarakhand Sub Area, today emphasised on the values of discipline, courage. He was addressing the students of The Asian School at the 26th Founder’s Day of The Asian School in Dehradun today. Speaking before the school’s faculty, parents, and students, Maj Gen Gill recalled his formative years at the Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) and highlighted the importance of grit, vision, and character in shaping future leaders.

Gill called upon the students to embrace discipline as a tool for excellence, to cultivate quiet courage in the face of challenges, and to serve the society through innovation, education, and kindness. He reminded the students that leadership does not require a title or stage, but conviction, integrity, and the courage to act. He also lauded the teachers and parents for their guidance and support in nurturing young minds, calling them the true architects of future success. Maj Gen Gill further encouraged the students to pursue their dreams with purpose and assured them that the education and values imbibed at The Asian School would guide them for a lifetime.

GOC’s wife, Sarvrit Gill, school’s President Amarjeet Singh, Vice-President Madanjeet Singh, Col Divesh Singh Spehia, Directors Gaganjyot Singh, Tarunjyot Singh, were present amongst others.
The three-day Founder’s Day celebrations at The Asian School had begun on 15 October with the Annual Sports Day, fostering teamwork and sportsmanship among students. Yesterday, the school hosted a book fair and exhibitions, while today’s cultural programmes showcased the talents of students across music, dance, and drama.
