Dehradun, 26 Dec: The annual meeting of the Uttarakhand Police Pensioners’ Welfare Committee and PPS Retired Officers Welfare Association Uttarakhand was held today in the auditorium at Police Lines. The meeting which commenced at 10:30 a. m., concluded at 3:00 p. m. The Chief Guest of the program was Director General of Police Deepam Seth.
Addressing the gathering, Seth assured the organisation that all problems would be resolved appropriately and advised the general public to remain vigilant against cyber frauds. Indrajit Singh Rawat, Editor of Satmukh Magazine, released the magazine, with the Chief Guest performing the honors.
The event was also attended by Pushpak Jyoti, former Inspector General of Police and Chairman of the Uttarakhand Police Pension Welfare Committee, Jagdish Singh Bhandari, President of PPS Organization, Secretary Jagdish Chandra Arya, Vice President Kuldeep Singh Aswal, BBD Juyal, DP Juyal, Sridhar Badola, Ganesh Chandra Pant, GP Nainwal, and approximately 180-190 others.
A two-minute silence was observed in memory of ten colleagues who passed away since last year’s meeting. Five members from Uttar Pradesh were also welcomed and granted membership in today’s meeting.

The programme was compered by Prakash Chandra Deoli while Secretary Jagdish Chandra Arya presented a report on the resolution of retired employees’ and officers’ problems from the last conference, noting that most issues have been resolved, with a few still in progress. This year, 75 new members were added, bringing the total members to 1,100. Jagdish Bhandari and former President Ganesh Chandra Pant addressed the resolution and solutions for various issues.

Shridhar Badola, representing the PPS Officers Association, Uttarakhand, shared information on the programmes conducted and the resolution of members’ problems. Vice President Kuldeep Singh Aswal highlighted beneficial aspects such as prompt payment of medical reimbursement bills in the Uttar Pradesh Police Magazine, which was appreciated by attendees. Pushpak Jyoti suggested establishing a separate desk at the district level for medical reimbursements, arranging monthly Goshwara meetings, calling pensioners’ meetings at the police station level monthly, and quarterly meetings at the district superintendent level. He also recommended sending a representative from the local police station in case of a retired member’s death.
