Dehradun, 1 Jul: Due to continuous rains in the monsoon season, life has been affected in many parts of the state. Incidents like the recent cloudburst in Uttarkashi have been very tragic.
While the Char Dham Yatra is still underway, some people are spreading fake news and videos related to it on social media. One such video showing Kedarnath in a dangerous situation was found to be made using AI technology.
When the Uttarakhand Police noticed these kinds of misleading videos, many complaints were received. SSP, Dehradun, Ajai Singh has taken the matter seriously and ordered a strict investigation.
He said, “Our team is closely monitoring such videos. After checking a few of them, we found they were fake. We request people not to trust or share such videos without verifying the facts.”
The police have already registered a case regarding this issue. The public is also being warned not to spread fake or misleading news, especially during sensitive times like the monsoon season and Char Dham Yatra.
“If anyone is found spreading such misinformation, strict action will be taken against them,” SSP Ajai Singh added.
