Dehradun, 16 Oct: BJP’s State Media In-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan today claimed that Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has emerged as one of the most popular leaders in the country, owing to his transparent governance and historic decisions that have elevated Uttarakhand’s stature on the national stage.
Chauhan claimed that Dhami’s leadership is not only admired within the state but has also gained recognition across India, with his policies being adopted as models in several other states.
Chauhan described the CM’s social media following of over one crore as a natural outcome of his consistent public engagement and policy-driven leadership. He said that Dhami’s initiatives for cultural preservation, executed with transparency and balance, have set benchmarks that other states are now emulating. The BJP leader further noted that Dhami’s popularity is such that his participation in election campaigns outside Uttarakhand has directly contributed to the BJP’s victories in those regions, with candidates supported by him securing wins and the party forming governments.
Chauhan claimed that the anti-cheating law introduced by the Dhami Government has drawn national attention and is being adopted as a model by other states. He added that stringent laws enacted against Land Jihad, Love Jihad, and Spit Jihad have received widespread public appreciation. The decision to frame a robust legal framework for safeguarding the future of the youth has generated significant enthusiasm among young citizens. Chauhan emphasised that Uttarakhand is the first state in the country to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), which reflects Dhami’s visionary leadership and fearless approach. He asserted that criminal activities and forced conversions are no longer easy in the state due to these firm measures.
Chauhan also stated that Dhami’s decisions in favour of youth and women have also contributed immensely to his popularity. He mentioned that various schemes have been launched to empower women economically, including the provision of horizontal reservation.
