Dehradun, 2 Aug: More than 1.34 lakh people have participated in the second phase of the “Jan Jan Ki Sarkar – Jan Jan Ke Dwar” programme, which is being run to address public problems and provide benefits of government schemes to the common person. With this, the total public participation has exceeded 6.5 lakh people in the first and second phases of the campaign combined.
Under the direction of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the “Jan Jan Ki Sarkar – Jan Jan Ke Dwar” campaign is being implemented across the state. Under this special campaign, people are receiving immediate solutions to public problems, while other services, including social welfare pensions, Ayushman cards, medical equipment, and agricultural tools, are also being provided free of charge. Under the campaign, special camps are being organised at the district, block, and tehsil levels, where officials and employees of the relevant departments are resolving public issues in the presence of public representatives. In these camps, eligible people are being provided with the benefits of various government schemes and various certificates are also being issued. A total of 198 camps have been organised so far during this special campaign, which began on 4 July. Despite the monsoon season, 1,34,740 people have participated. Of the 23,219 public complaints received during this period, 20,808 have been resolved on the spot. 81,753 participants benefited from various schemes.
Public participation exceeded 5 lakh.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has been continuously emphasising that people should not have to run around government offices to resolve public problems, but rather that department officials and employees should personally reach out to the people and resolve complaints. Keeping this vision of the Chief Minister in mind, the state government launched the 45-day “Jan-Jan ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan ke Dwar” campaign last December. Under the 45-day “Jan-Jan ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan ke Dwar” campaign launched in December, 681 camps were organised, with 533,452 citizens directly participating. Furthermore, nearly 33,000 public grievances were promptly resolved during this period. This campaign was also hailed as a best practice in governance.
“Under the “Jan-Jan ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan ke Dwar” campaign, the administration is reaching out to the people and promptly resolving their grievances. Additionally, the benefits of various public welfare schemes are being made available to eligible beneficiaries under one roof. Our government is dedicated to serving the public with a commitment to simplification, solutions, and public satisfaction,” stated CM Pushkar Singh Dhami.
