Dehradun, 19 Apr: A total of 147 fresh cases of Corona were reported in the past 24 hours in Uttarakhand while a total of 126 Corona patients were reported to have recovered from the infection. As a result, the total number of active cases of Corona in Uttarakhand as of now is 369. Significantly, one patient died of Corona infection in the state during the past 24 hours. The death of the patient occurred in AIIMS Rishikesh. This is the 10th death due to Corona in the state this year so far.
Of the total number of cases reported in the state, 60 were reported from Dehradun, 29 from Nainital and 24 from Udham Singh Nagar. As against these figures, only 6 cases were recorded in Haridwar district in the past 24 hours, while 9 cases were reported from Pauri Garhwal and 8 from Tehri Garhwal; 6 cases were reported from Champawat and 2, each, in Pithoragarh and Chamoli while Uttarkashi reported 1 case and Rudraprayag none.
In the past 24 hours, a total of 819 test samples were collected and submitted for testing. Of them, a maximum of 273 samples were collected in Dehradun district while 93 samples were collected in Haridwar; 107 samples were collected and submitted in Nainital.
