188 General & 33 ICU beds reserved for Covid patients at Mahant Hospital

Dehradun, 13 Apr: The management of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital has reserved 180 General and 33 ICU beds for the treatment of Covid patients following the second wave of Corona infections. The Medical Superintendent of the Hospital, Dr Anil Kumar Dhawan, organised an emergency meeting with senior doctors, nursing and para-medical staff. He examined the necessary arrangements and released the required directions. He also had a discussion with the Chief Medical Officer, Dehradun, and prepared an action plan for the treatment of Covid patients. Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital’s management is continuously drafting a better system in coordination with the District Administration, Department of Health and the Government for the treatment of Covid patients.
Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital has been the biggest private hospital treating Covid patients. As per the available figures, till December 2021, 1090 admitted patients and thousands of patients in OPD were treated for Covid at the hospital.
Uttarakhand is also experiencing the second wave. In the last 10 days, Dehradun has seen an abrupt rise in the number of Corona positive patients.
There is a team of senior and experienced doctors in the Pulmonary Medicine Department of the Hospital. HOD, Department of Pulmonary Medicine, Dr Jagdish Rawat said that during the first wave of the Corona outbreak, patients were given quality treatment at the hospital, and it is now preparing to face the second wave. Corona patients must not panic. Everyone must comply with the guidelines released by the Department of Health.
