Pantnagar, 10 Jul: The Organising Committee of the International Pancreatitis Conclave India (IPCI 2027) has announced the induction of three eminent healthcare leaders to its Advisory Boards, further strengthening the scientific and strategic foundation of the conclave scheduled for 12–14 February 2027 at GB Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar.
The newly inducted members represent global excellence in pancreatology, genetics, oncology, translational research, and healthcare leadership, reflecting IPCI 2027’s vision of creating an international platform for scientific collaboration.
These are Prof Dr Asbjørn Mohr Drewes (Denmark), Member – International Advisory Board. Prof. Drewes is one of the world’s foremost authorities in pancreatic pain, chronic pancreatitis, neurogastroenterology, and translational pain research. Based at Aarhus University Hospital, Denmark, he has authored hundreds of scientific publications and has served in leadership positions within the European Pancreatic Club (EPC).
His pioneering research has transformed the understanding of pain mechanisms in chronic pancreatitis and significantly influenced international clinical practice and research.
Prof. Dr. Heiko Witt (Germany) is Member, International Advisory Board. Prof. Heiko Witt is an internationally acclaimed physician-scientist from Technische Universität Dresden, Germany, renowned for his groundbreaking work on the genetics of pancreatitis, hereditary pancreatic disorders, and precision medicine.
As one of the world’s leading pancreatic geneticists and an accomplished academic leader, his contributions have greatly advanced the understanding of pancreatic diseases and their molecular basis. His guidance will add immense scientific strength to IPCI 2027.
Dr Suversha Khanna (India), Member, National Advisory Board, President, Dharamshila Cancer Foundation & Research Centre, New Delhi, is one of India’s most respected healthcare visionaries.
A graduate of Lady Hardinge Medical College with an MD in Paediatrics from Kalawati Saran Children’s Hospital, she founded the Dharamshila Cancer Foundation & Research Centre in 1990, transforming it into one of India’s premier comprehensive cancer institutions.
She is widely recognised for her pioneering contributions to comprehensive cancer care, preventive oncology, healthcare quality, patient education, palliative care, and institutional leadership. A certified NABH Assessor, she has received numerous national honours for her outstanding contribution to healthcare.
