Dehradun, 8 Mar: Amidst the political crisis in Himachal Pradesh that the Congress Government there is currently facing, it is learnt that 6 rebel Congress MLAs and three independent MLAs from Himachal arrived today at Jolly Grant Airport on a chartered flight, from where they left for a resort in Rishikesh.

A group of nine to ten people reached Rishikesh by a chartered plane. According to sources, a BJP leader is also with him. Sources claimed that the group of MLAs is likely to stay in Rishikesh for a few days.

It may be recalled that, in the recently held Rajya Sabha Elections, polling was held on one Rajya Sabha seat in Himachal where the Congress candidate and a leading lawyer of the country Abhishek Manu Singhvi lost to the BJP’s Harsh Mahajan despite the fact that the state has a Congress government in place, elected in 2022. But the Congress government is facing a rebellion against Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and it is believed that the rebellion is led by PCC Chief Pratibha Singh, wife of the late Virbhadra Singh, an ex-CM of HP.
