International Conference begins at Graphic Era

Dehradun, 19 Mar: Experts, researchers, and academicians from India and abroad discussed hybrid materials, advanced technologies, and their various industrial applications in detail at Graphic Era, here, today.
A three-day international conference on Hybrid Materials started today at Graphic Era Deemed to be University. Addressing the conference, the Chief Guest, Professor at the University of Strathclyde, Scotland, Prof Dino Jaroszynski said that, in the coming time, hybrid materials will not only form the foundation of technology but also accelerate innovation. These materials are not only more efficient and durable but also capable of performing better under different conditions.
Vice Chancellor Dr Narpinder Singh said that hybrid materials hold immense potential to transform the world, and their applications are continuously expanding. Their use in areas such as healthcare, clean energy solutions, and environmental protection is bringing positive changes.
Scientist at National Physical Laboratory, Dr Sanjay Srivastava stated that materials of the past cannot be used to build future technologies. To meet today’s complex and advanced requirements, the development of multi-component materials has become extremely important.
During this three-day international conference, 10 technical sessions will cover important topics such as optical structures, carbon nanotubes, plasmonic metals, graphene-based advanced electrodes, hydrogen fuel, and molecular interface platforms. Participants from India and abroad will join the conference both online and offline.
The conference is being jointly organised by the Department of Physics, Graphic Era Deemed to be University, and the National Physical Laboratory (CSIR).
Distinguished attendees include Prof Patrick Mugli from the Max Planck Institute, Germany, Prof Shrigyanesh Prabhu from TIFR Mumbai, along with Department Head Dr Fateh Singh Gill, BIS Nodal Officer at Graphic Era Dr Brijesh Prasad, faculty members, and students of Graphic Era.
