Dehradun, 11 Jun: Olympic medallist, world-renowned boxer, and former Rajya Sabha member Mary Kom made a courtesy call on Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, RK Sudhanshu, here, today.
On this occasion, discussions were held regarding various possibilities of encouraging youth participation in sports and nurturing their talent through the support of corporate and non-governmental organisations.
In line with the vision of the Chief Minister, deliberations were held on providing better sports facilities, training, and opportunities to young people, motivating them toward sports, strengthening the sports culture in the state, and creating opportunities for the state’s athletes to compete at national and international levels.
Also present on the occasion were Secretary Ranveer Singh, Sports Director Deepti Singh, and Additional Secretary to the Chief Minister, Manmohan Mainali.
