Dehradun, 8 Jul: Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd) on Wednesday met Prof Arun Kumar Tripathi, Vice-Chancellor of Uttarakhand Ayurved University, Dehradun, during a courtesy call at the Lok Bhavan, here.
During the meeting, the Vice-Chancellor briefed the Governor on the university’s academic and research activities, national and international achievements, ongoing research projects, and its future roadmap. He also updated the Governor on infrastructure development and institutional strengthening initiatives being undertaken by the university. Prof Tripathi presented the university’s coffee table book, Ayurgatha, along with a short film showcasing its achievements.
The Governor said Ayurveda is a vital pillar of India’s rich and ancient knowledge tradition. He urged the university to align its vision with the goal of a developed India by 2047 by integrating Ayurveda with modern science, innovation, research, and technology.
Reviewing the university’s ongoing development works, the Governor directed officials to further strengthen infrastructure and ensure the timely implementation of research- and innovation-driven projects.
