Sandeep Sahni honoured for 14 years of promoting Blood Donation in Mussoorie

Mussoorie, 30 Jul: The Rotary Club organised a special ceremony at The Fern Brentwood on Thursday to distribute Blood Donor Cards and Blood Reports to donors who participated in the 14th P Kuldeep Raj Sahni Blood Donation Camp, held on 31 May 2026. The donors were felicitated for their selfless contribution to society.

Chief Guest IG Girish Chandra Upadhyay, Director of the ITBP Academy, presented the donor cards and appreciated the noble spirit of the blood donors. Addressing the gathering, he said that blood donation is one of the greatest acts of humanity, as a single unit of blood has the potential to save several lives. He encouraged people, especially the youth, to donate blood regularly and help create greater awareness about voluntary blood donation.

The programme also highlighted the remarkable contribution of Sandeep Sahni, who has been organising the PP Kuldeep Raj Sahni Blood Donation Camp every year on the birth anniversary of his late father for the past 14 years. During this period, nearly 2,800 units of blood have been collected, benefiting thousands of patients in need. Speakers praised Sandeep Sahni’s unwavering commitment to this humanitarian cause and described his efforts as a source of inspiration for the community.

Rotary Club President Ashwani Mittal said that blood donation is not merely a social responsibility but the highest form of service to humanity. He thanked all the donors for their generous contribution and reaffirmed the club’s commitment to promoting voluntary blood donation in the years ahead.

Among those present on the occasion were Nupur Karanwal, Manoranjan Tripathi, Ranbir Singh, Pramod Sahni, Dhan Prakash Agrawal, Deepak Agrawal, Vinesh Singhal, Deepak Gupta, Rajat Kapoor, Manmohan Karanwal, Nitin Gupta, Shailendra Karnwal, Sanjay Agrawal and several other dignitaries and Rotary Club members.
