Dehradun, 2 Aug: Welham Boys’ School produced a magnificent performance at the IPSC (All India Public Schools’ Conference) Squash Championship 2026, held at Emerald Heights International School, Indore, from 28 to 30 July 2026, bringing home 2 Gold medals and 1 Silver medal.

The prestigious championship brought together 16 of India’s leading public schools and 192 players competing across six events. Strong teams from Modern School (New Delhi), DPS RK Puram, The Doon School, RIMC Dehradun, Mayo College, and Daly College made the competition one of the toughest school squash events in the country.

Welham Boys’ School emerged as one of the standout performers by winning the Boys Under-14 Team Championship, defeating DPS RK Puram 2–0 in a commanding final. The school continued its dominance in the Boys Under-17 Team Championship, overcoming The Doon School 2–1 in a thrilling contest to secure its second Gold medal.

Adding to the school’s success, Atulit Tripathi delivered an outstanding performance to win the Silver Medal in the Boys Under-17 Individual category.

The tournament featured some of India’s finest junior squash talent, including Asian Junior Bronze Medalist Abhyuday Arora, international and India’s No. 1 Boys Under-17 player Shreyansh Jha, making Welham’s achievement even more remarkable.
