Mussoorie, 2 Aug: The 53rd edition of the St. George’s College Heritage Cup (Jackie) Invitational Football Tournament 2026 continued with great enthusiasm and sporting fervour at St George’s College, here, today. The tournament, being held from 1 to 14 August, has brought together 24 leading football teams from renowned schools and clubs across the region, reaffirming its rich legacy of promoting excellence in football and fostering sportsmanship among young athletes.
The results of today’s matches are as follows:
In the first match of the day, Bhatta Sports Club defeated Mussoorie Madrid Club by 4-2. For Bhatta Sports Club, Nitin Rangar opened the scoring in the 29th minute, followed by Kulwant in the 47th minute, Rishabh in the 54th minute, and Harsh in the 59th minute. Mussoorie Madrid Club responded through Adnan Ansari in the 48th minute and Tazim in the 57th minute.
In the second match, Eleven Star Club registered a convincing 3-1 victory over Aryan Sports Club. The goals for Eleven Star Club were scored by Shivankar Joshi in the 12th minute, Raj in the 16th minute, and Anshul in the 25th minute. Arnav Thapli netted the lone goal for Aryan Sports Club in the 39th minute.
The third match, played between Oak Grove School and The Aryan School, ended in an exciting 1-1 draw. Anish Kumar gave Oak Grove School the lead in the 21st minute, while Krishna equalised for The Aryan School in the 51st minute.
In the fourth match, Yuva Sports Club produced an impressive performance to defeat Shiva Sports Club by 6-1. The goals for Yuva Sports Club were scored by Bilal in the 18th minute, Suyash in the 24th and 40th minutes, Anas in the 35th minute, and Amaan in the 53rd minute, while one goal came through an own goal by Shiva Sports Club in the 32nd minute. Rahul scored the lone goal for Shiva Sports Club in the 41st minute.
In the fifth and final match of the day, St George’s College (B Team) secured a commanding 5-0 victory over Doon Valley Public School. Parth Mall scored twice in the 2nd and 28th minutes, Mahin found the net in the 16th minute, while Ansh added two more goals in the 19th and 39th minutes.
The matches were officiated by a panel of referees comprising Pushkar Singh Gusain, Pradeep Negi, Prashant Rawat, Milan, and Anish Chhetri, whose fair and professional conduct ensured the smooth and successful conduct of all the fixtures.
The St George’s College Heritage Cup (Jackie) Invitational Football Tournament 2026 is being conducted under the guidance of Brother Jeyaseelan S (Principal), Brother Britto (Superior and Sports Secretary), Brother Sylvanus Kerketta (Vice-Principal), Brother Lawrence Kujur (Assistant Sports Secretary), Brother Nithin Mitorly, Anand Thapa (Sports Coordinator), Bhavnesh Negi (PRO), and the members of the Sports Department of St George’s College.
