High‑level brainstorming held on Viksit U’khand Vision 2047

Dehradun, 3 Aug: A brainstorming session on ‘U’khand Vision 2047’ was organised at the Civil Services Institute, Rajpur Road, here, today. Opening the session, Principal Secretary, Forest, RK Sudhanshu stated that the Vision 2047 document is nearly complete. He added that district‑level Vision 2047 action plans will also be prepared in the next phase and are expected to be finalised by December 2026.
The meeting discussed the importance of achieving the ambitious targets of Vision 2047 through departmental coordination and optimal utilisation of resources available in the state. Strategies to promote the horticulture, tourism and micro and small enterprises as key growth drivers were also discussed. Emphasis was laid on ensuring inclusive development and enhancing women’s empowerment by increasing participation in the workforce, with a particular focus on encouraging STEM education among girls from the beginning.
The need for quality data to effectively monitor all identified indicators was also highlighted, along with strengthening the data ecosystem at every level through the creation of a centralised data system.
Among those present on the occasion were Principal Secretary Planning R Meenakshi Sundaram, all the Secretaries and the Additional Secretaries, the Divisional Commissioners, the District Magistrates and experts from SETU Commission and CPPGG.
