Dehradun, 3 Aug: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has taken immediate cognisance of the disaster‑damaged road connecting village Khainuri in Dasholi block of Chamoli district and directed the District Magistrate and departmental officials to ensure urgent repair on priority so that movement of villagers is restored without delay.
It may be pointed out here that the residents of Khainuri had informed the CM over telephone about the present condition of the road and had explained that the road had been completely damaged due to the disaster. They further informed him that the damaged road had severely affected the mobility of nearly 120 families.
After listening to their grievances, the CM promptly instructed officials concerned to initiate necessary action. He emphasised that the damaged road must be repaired on priority to guarantee safe and smooth passage for the villagers. He also directed the officials to assess the situation on the ground and take all required measures accordingly.
Dhami asserted that timely and effective resolution of every citizen’s problem is the foremost priority of the state government. He stressed that restoration of roads, drinking water, electricity and other basic facilities in disaster‑affected areas should not face any unnecessary delay. Departments must work in coordination to ensure early reinstatement of public amenities.
The CM further directed the officials to act with sensitivity towards issues arising in disaster‑hit regions and to pay special attention to complaints received from rural and remote areas and to ensure their swift disposal so that the local residents do not suffer avoidable hardship.
Dhami emphasised that the government is working with responsibility and sensitivity on matters of public concern. He made it clear that the administration must respond immediately to problems raised by the people and demonstrate effective action on the ground. He added that bringing normal life back on track in disaster‑affected areas is a top priority of the government, and that all the officials concerned have been instructed to work with full commitment and ensure necessary arrangements without delay.
