Kirti Nagar (Tehri Garhwal), 2 Nov: Devprayag MLA Vinod Kandari suffered a minor injury after his vehicle met with an accident on the Badrinath National Highway this morning. The incident occurred near Kirti Nagar when a vehicle allegedly coming from the opposite direction collided with the MLA’s car.
According to information received, Kandari was travelling from Srinagar towards Kirti Nagar when the accident took place near Ufalda on the Badrinath Highway. An oncoming vehicle coming from the wrong side reportedly hit his vehicle head-on, causing panic at the spot.
The impact of the collision was significant, but the MLA escaped with only minor injuries. He is reported to be safe and out of danger. News of his safety brought relief to supporters and well-wishers, although concerns remained for some time following reports of the accident.
Initial information suggests that the other vehicle was travelling on the wrong side of the road at the time of the collision. However, the exact circumstances leading to the accident are yet to be officially established.
