Didihat, 20 Jun: During his visit to Pithoragarh on Thursday, Rural Development Minister Ganesh Joshi conducted a field inspection of the bridge and motor road under construction by NPCC on the Didihat-Pumpsyari road under PMGSY. Joshi inspected the spot along with the officials and gave necessary instructions.

The minister expressed displeasure over the delay in the construction of the bridge. He asked the officials to complete the construction work within a month. He also directed special attention to the quality of the material used. He said that the villagers of the surrounding populated areas will definitely get benefit after the completion of the bridge. Joshi also inspected the motor road from Didihat to Pumpsyari under PMGSY and gave necessary instructions to the officials. He said that under the able guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of the Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the government is committed to the development of rural areas, especially on the border, and is continuously working in this direction.

On this occasion, PMGSY Chief Engineer Shashank Singh, Assistant Engineer Gurpreet Singh, NPPC Junior Engineer Anil Chuphal, BJP leader Lokesh Bhad, Mandal President Bharat Kanyal, Kamala Chuphal, etc., were also present.

Minister Ganesh Joshi tastes famous sweet Khenchuwa of Didihat

Didihat, 20 Jun: During his stay in Pithoragarh, Minister Ganesh Joshi reached Negi Mishthan Bhandar and tasted the famous sweet, Khenchuwa, of Didihat., Joshi enquired about the owner of Negi Mishthan Bhandar and local traders and also took feedback on the schemes run by the Central and State Government from the people.

It is worth noting that Khenchuwa is a type of sweet which is made only in Didihat. In the 80s, the Negi family from Devidhura started making Khenchuwa in Didihat. During this period, due to shortage of milk, Khenchuwa was made in limited quantity. Gradually, due to its specialty, its demand started increasing. With the demand, Khenchuwa started being made in large numbers. Khenchuwa is prepared by boiling milk for a long time, adding sugar to it. In the last 20 years, Khenchuwa of Didihat has made a good name for itself due to its taste. The demand for Khenchuwa of Didihat has reached not only Didihat, Pithoragarh, but also Kumaon, Garhwal and the plains. Khenchuwa is considered to be the most favourite sweet in all the events, from weddings to marriages.

 

Ganesh Joshi performs special Puja with family in the temple of Kul Devi in ​​Chhanpata

Didihat, June 20. Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi reached Chhanpata of his native village Hunera in Didihat. Along with his family, he performed special Puja with rituals in the temple of his Kul Devi and prayed for the happiness and prosperity of the people of the state. Earlier, on his arrival in the village, he was welcomed with a garland by the workers and local people.
