CM Dhami presented ‘Dr Shyama Prasad  Mukherjee Memorial Award’ in Mumbai

MUMBAI, 23 June: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday participated in the ‘Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Samman Samaroh’ organised in Dadar, West Mumbai, on the occasion of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee‘s ‘Balidan Diwas’. For having first implemented the UCC in Uttarakhand, he was also presented the Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Memorial Award.
Dhami paid tribute to Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee on his death anniversary and said that the late leader dedicated his entire life to the unity and integrity of India. He was a good thinker. The seed he sowed in the form of Bharatiya Jana Sangh is today before the world as the largest party. He always supported equality, unity, justice, and gave the country the mantra of one constitution, one leader and one flag. With his thoughts, he dedicated his entire life for a powerful and prosperous India. The Chief Minister said, “We have got an auspicious opportunity to remember Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Veer Savarkar and Dr Mukherjee together.” He also thanked the organisers for the programme.
The Chief Minister said that today all the people are seeing the dreams of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee being fulfilled under the leadership of the Prime Minister. Today, work is being done on equal civil rights in the country, after the independence of the country, now Article 370 has been abolished from Kashmir. He said that the Uttarakhand government has also made Dr Mukherjee‘s dreams come true by passing the Uniform Civil Code Bill as per the Constitution and has taken the approval of the President. In the Assembly elections of 2022, the people of Uttarakhand again formed our government for the second consecutive time. As soon as we came to power, we first worked to bring the Uniform Civil Code as per the promise made to the public.
Dhami said that Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee believed that for the construction of a strong nation, there is a need for equal law for all the people living in the society. He had described it as a social and moral need. The Chief Minister said that the Uniform Civil Code in Uttarakhand has not been brought to discriminate against anyone but to bring the Prime Minister’s Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas Sabka Vishwas to reality. He said that UCC will give women, elderly, children and common citizens their rights.
Pushkar Singh Dhami said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, continuous work is being done to establish a powerful society in India. Many historical works have been done in the country under the leadership of Modi. Triple Talaq has been abolished. The dream of building Ram temple has been fulfilled under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. He said that the Uttarakhand State Government has done many works. Effective works has been done to protect the original form of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand, its sanctity and culture.
On this occasion, Mumbai BJP President Ashish Shelar, Lok Sabha MP Pratap Chand Sarangi, renowned actor Padma Shri awardee Manoj Joshi, State Minister Vinay Rohela, Amar Jeet Mishra, BJP leader Dinanath Tiwari, and others were also present.
