Dehradun, 1 Jul: Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and sought tax free status for the film, “Phooli”, produced by Padma Siddhi Film Private Limited and directed by Avinash Dhyani.
Maharaj said that the Uttarakhand film, “Phooli”, is based on subjects like ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’, and ‘Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan’. Maharaj told Chief Minister that this film is very inspiring. It shows the struggle of children living in mountain villages. The film Phooli must be shown to school children so that they take inspiration from it and move forward and serve the country.
He said that “Phooli” was shown in various cinemas of Uttarakhand including Dehradun, and has been well liked by the audience, so this film should be made tax free.
Chief Minister Dhami has given necessary instructions to the officials in view of Maharaj’s request.
