Dehradun, 1 July: A teaching sharing system will be started in the School Education Department with the aim of providing quality education to the children of the state. For this, a contract will be signed soon between various boards operating in the state. Instructions have been given to the departmental officers to prepare a proposal in this regard. For comprehensive improvement in educational activities, teachers of government schools will be given free training by CBSE. Apart from this, with the aim of reducing the stress of school children, along with reducing the burden of school bags, instructions have been given to the departmental officers to prepare an action plan to fix one day in a month as Bag Free Day in all the schools of the state.
A high-level meeting was held today with the officials of various education boards operating in the state and private schools under the chairmanship of the state’s School Education Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat. It was decided to implement the teaching sharing system in the state under the important provisions of the New Education Policy-2020. Under this system, good teachers of various subjects of the education boards operating in the state will be able to teach in each other’s educational institutions, as well as they will be able to use laboratories and other resources. This will benefit lakhs of students. Dr Rawat said that contracts will soon be signed with various education boards to implement the teaching sharing system.
He said that, in the first phase, a group of nearby schools will be developed at the district and block levels, after which this system will be implemented in all schools. On Bag Free Day, debate competitions, agricultural work, sports, cultural programmes and other skill development related activities will be organised in the school, in which all the students will participate.
