Dehradun, 9 Aug: Diverse cultures from across the globe were celebrated at Graphic Era, here, today. Students from more than 30 countries studying in Graphic Era participated in the celebration.
The Global Village was organised in Graphic Era Deemed University’s BTech Auditorium. The programme commenced with representatives from India along with many other countries hoisting their flags. It included representatives from France, Poland, Egypt, Turkey, Taiwan, Myanmar, South Africa, Nigeria, Liberia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Cameron, Botswana, Congo, Uganda, Zambia, Lesotho, Niger, Rwanda, Papua New Guinea, etc. On this occasion, many students wore their traditional attire and showcased their rich cultures through their performances.
But the programme was beyond just vibrant performances. Students from Egypt, Turkey, Liberia, Taiwan, etc., put up their stalls featuring their traditional dishes, which were served free to fellow students.
Graphic Era Dean, International Affairs, Dr DR Gangodkar gave information about the various facilities provided to the international students in the university. He also explained how students of Graphic Era can pursue one or two years of their courses in reputed international universities. The programme was organised by AIESEC in collaboration with Graphic Era. Associate Dean of International Affairs, Dr Sachin Sharma, Executive of International Affairs Cell, Suchit Arora, hundreds of students and parents were present on the occasion.
